Mental Health Services-Adults

Westbrook Youth and Family Services

The agency offers affordable counseling for individuals (adults and children), couples and families. Our clinicians are trained as Marriage and Family Therapists, and treat people with a variety of mental health concerns, including depressions, anxiety, stress management, coping with long-term disability and family issues. Clients may pay for services based on a sliding-scale fee. Please call 860-399-9239 to schedule a meeting with one of our clinicians.

Serving Middlesex County and operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health. Services for people suffering from serious mental health disorders who lack financial means to secure services.

Call Infoline by dialing 2-1-1 from anywhere in Connecticut. You will speak to a caseworker who can help make it easier for you to find information, discover options or deal with a crisis. Infoline is certified by the American Association of Suicidology.

Enhanced Care Clinics

Connecticut children and adults covered by the HUSKY health care plan may use any of these clinics, which provide such outpatient services as individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and medication management.   • One in four adults—about 57.7 million Americans—experience a mental health disorder in a given year.
  • Despite effective treatments, there are long delays between the first onset of symptoms and when people seek and receive treatment.
  • Fewer than one-third of adults and one-half of children with a diagnosable mental illness receive mental health services in a given year.
  • In the United States, the annual economic cost of mental illness is estimated to be $79 billion. Approximately $63 billion reflects the loss of productivity as a result of illnesses.
